M.U.D. Retreat

Mud you say? Like flinging it? No, not that kind of mud. M.U.D. stands for Making United Disciples and is held at Cascades Camp right in the middle of winter! What could be more fun than that? Think Polar Bear Swims and Open Mic Night. It's all about gathering with other Youth Groups with fun and lively worship sessions, a rockin' worship band, an awesome key speaker, and tons of bonding games and activities.

Beginning in 1956, hundreds of high school age Covenanters gathered together as the Covenant High Congress. This event has morphed through the years and in 1972, the East and West Coast Congresses combined, necessitating a location that was more conducive to the nearly 1,500 students who attended. CHIC now has thousands of attendees and features renowned speakers, daily bible studies and small groups, nightly concerts from some of the biggest names in Christian music, and SO MUCH MORE.

Hope Covenant Church sent its first group ever in 2015 with 13 high school students and 3 leaders. Although the group was small admist the nearly 6,000 people that attended, they stood out with their passion for Christ, kindness, and open, loving attitudes.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this trip possible for our Youth! It truly was a community effort and words can’t express our gratitude. God Bless!

When: 2018

We have various fundraisers to help offset the cost. We do not want money to be an obstacle for anyone interested in coming!

Do not let anyone treat you as if you are unimportant because you are young. Instead be an example to the believers with your words, your actions, your love, your faith, and pure life.
